The Refuge
The Refuge began as a vision in early 2009 of Kathi Reginato, an ordinary mother of six, who has a passion for seeing mothers reunited with their children. The Refuge, which houses both women and children, is also deemed a "safe house", so that the women who seek to live changed lives are protected from the negative influences of their past.
The home they reside in is owned by Advent Group Ministries, an organization that provides residential and outpatient recovery programs for drug-addicted teens, as well as foster care services and a low-cost counseling center for the community.
OUR VISION:
To provide a safe home for moms who seek to maintain their sobriety, overcome personal obstacles, become better parents and reunify with their children while offering various life skills through the help of volunteers.
